Valérie Maquère appointed Deputy Director General of AgroParisTech
January 13 2026Valérie Maquère has been appointed Deputy Director General of AgroParisTech, responsible for development and institutional relations. Until now, she was Delegate for Management and Transformation, Deputy Secretary General at the Ministry of Agriculture. She took up her position at the National Institute of Sciences and Industries for Life and the Environment on January 1, 2026.
A graduate of the École Polytechnique (X 1999), Valérie Maquère is a civil engineer specializing in bridges, water, and forestry, and holds a PhD in biogeocycles.
She began her career in 2008 in the central administration of the Ministry of Agriculture as a project manager for “Fertilization, Livestock, Environment” before taking over as head of the Water, Soil, and Circular Economy Office in 2013. In 2018, Valérie Maquère joined the Hauts-de-France Regional Directorate for Food, Agriculture, and Forestry. There, she held the position of regional head of department for the economic and environmental performance of businesses.
Since 2022, she has been a delegate for management and transformation, reporting to the secretary general of the Ministry of Agriculture. In this capacity, she had delegated responsibility for Program 215, which supports the implementation of public policies promoted by the ministry, as well as managing relations with decentralized services and coordinating the ministry’s strategy for transforming public action.
