Earning a Degree at AgroParisTech
April 15 2026International students seeking a degree from AgroParisTech can apply for our programs (engineering, master’s, doctoral, continuing education) from the M1 level (fourth year of higher education) on. International candidates to the engineering curriculum must follow a specific procedure.
Students wishing to enroll at AgroParisTech to pursue a degree may apply:
- For our master’s, doctoral, and continuing education programs (including advanced master’s degrees). Each program is thoroughly described in order to help students identify the one(s) that best suit their academic and professional goals. Application procedures are the same for all students regardless of their nationality and are described directly on the webpage of each program. Students must follow theses instructions to apply.
- For the engineering curriculum. Admission to the first year is subject to a competitive entrance exam only open to students who are already enrolled in higher education in France. A specific procedure allows other students to enroll directly in the second year: the concours D.E.
Engineering curriculum – Specific application procedure (concours D.E.)
The concours D.E. is open to international students having completed or in the process of validating a science-focused degree at the M1 level (fourth year of higher education) and to international students with French or foreign higher education qualifications or degrees accepted by the jury.
It is exclusively for non-French students and/or students who have studied abroad and have never tried to apply via other procedures.
Only applications demonstrating academic excellence will be examined by the jury.
There are several ways to apply depending on the student’s circumstances:
AgreenMob is a shared recruitment process developed by member institutions of the Alliance Agreenium in partnership with Senegalese universities and institutions:
- École Supérieure Polytechnique from the Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (ESP-UCAD) ;
- Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis (UGB) ;
- École Nationale Supérieure d’Agriculture (ENSA) from the Université Iba Der Thiam de Thiès ;
- École Polytechnique de Thiès (EPT) ;
- Université Assane-Seck de Ziguinchor (UASZ).
This program is opened to international students who have been preselected by these partners. It gives candidates the opportunity to access one of the 11 higher education institutions from Agreenium that prepare students for engineering degrees.
To apply, students must follow the procedure outlined on the Agreenium website.
The institutions with which AgroParisTech has signed double degree agreements are listed here.
Each double degree program is organized according to specific terms and conditions agreed upon by both partners. For more information, interested students must contact the office in charge of international relations and mobilities at their home institution.
Applications are only open to students who have been nominated and whose contact were sent to AgroParisTech by a partner institution.

Candidates who are not eligible for the ParisTech, AgreenMob or double degree programs must follow the procedure described below.

The application procedure described below is only for students who are not from one of AgroParisTech’s partner institution. Students who are eligible for the AgreenMob or double degree programs must read the sections above.
Application
Candidates must register on our incoming application platform (Edge browser prefered) before filling out the online application form for the engineering curriculum and uploading the required documents by 15 October (session 1) or 01 March (session 2).
Candidates will then be invited to an online oral interview.
Application documents
- Filled out online application form,
- Photocopy of an ID document,
- Motivation letter,
- Résumé,
- All transcripts since the beginning of higher education, translated into French or English,
- Photocopies of past degrees obtained,
- Proof of language proficiency (French AND English),
Un niveau B1 minimum (B2 fortement recommandé) est exigé. We accept official certificates and those provided by the students’ home university. Candidates whose mother tongue is French or English are exempt from this requirement. For more information, see the European language self-assessment grid. - Sworn statement certifying the authenticity of the documents provided.
All mandatory documents must be uploaded to AgroParisTech’s incoming application platform.
Admission jury
AgroParisTech’s admission jury is held twice a year in November (Fall session) and March (Spring session). It is made up of the Deputy General Director, professors, representatives from the Office of Academic Affairs and invited outsiders. Candidates will receive a final answer regarding their admission once this jury has passed.

AgroParisTech has been awarded the label “Bienvenue en [Welcome to] France” and is recognized as one of the leading higher education institutions in France for welcoming international students. This accreditation is awarded to academic institutions to demonstrate their excellence on indicators such as welcoming capacities, training programmes, campus life and services provided to international students.

AgroParisTech’s website lists all important information on first steps and contacts for incoming students. Degree-seeking students on the engineering curriculum will have priority to book a room in our student residences in Paris (MIAA and MINA) or Nancy in the Spring following their admission. Confirmation of housing will be subject to availability.
For students who have a temporary or permanent disability or disabling health condition, our support service and the Incoming Exchange team are available to offer specific adjustments.
AgroParisTech organizes orientation days in collaboration with student organizations. These events include administrative workshops, cultural activities and social events to help students integrate smoothly.
