Erasmus+ Alliances
The aim of Erasmus+ Alliances for Innovation is to bring higher education, professional training, and the socioeconomic world closer together to respond to demand for skills and expertise. As an engineering school, AgroParisTech has a specific role to play in these alliances. It has already taken part in an Erasmus+ alliance project in the agrifood sector and the social and solidarity economy.
Erasmus+ Alliances for Innovation are European cooperation projects that work to promote greater cooperation between higher education, professional training, and the socioeconomic world through innovative projects. Their aim is to respond to demand for skills and foster a sense of initiative and entrepreneurship.
FooD-STA
As part of the 2014-2020 Erasmus+ Alliance program, AgroParisTech took part in the FooD-STA Knowledge Alliance project :
The goal of the FooD-STA (European FooD-Studies and Training Alliance) project was to reduce skills mismatches between university education and the needs of the agrifood industry, made possible through an independent platform whose aim was to stimulate innovative education and training for students, targeted toward the needs of the industry, and to foster innovative continuing professional development among academics and industry professionals. This resulted in the creation of numerous resources, including webinars, e-learning modules, tools for student entrepreneurs, virtual conferences, and competitive student games. Some remain available thanks to the Digital Library project undertaken by ISEKI-Food, an association that AgroParisTech is a member of.

baSE
Since the start of the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 program, AgroParisTech has been involved in an Innovation Alliance project baSE.
The baSE (Blueprint for Social Economy and Proximity Skills & Advanced Trainings Schemes Adaptable to diverse Social Economy Ecosystem in Europe) project is co-funded by the EU Erasmus+ programme, and aims to develop a European strategy to address skills mismatches and provide new skills particularly in the digital and green transition areas regarding occupational profiles in the Social Economy and Proximity sector. The Blueprint’s primary goals are as follows:
- Develop a sector skills strategy;
- Design concrete education and training solutions (including MOOC and face-to-face training);
- Establish a long-term action plan to ensure ongoing training for employees in the social economy, adapted to their working environment.
To achieve this, the project gathers 25 partners, from 10 EU Member States. A European multi-stakeholder consortium involving: social economy enterprises and entities, education, and training providers, research institutions, social partners as well as social economy experts. The baSE project will promote knowledge exchange among higher education, vocational education, and training providers, as well as social economy actors who make a significant contribution to important ecosystem growth. AgroParisTech acts both as a center of expertise for skills and professions linked to green transition, and as a center for initial and continuing training.
