AgroParisTech for Gender Equality and Respect

In November 2021, AgroParisTech approved a Gender Equality Plan.  

The approach is intended for the entire AgroParisTech community:  

• engineering students; 

• master’s students; 

• Ph.D. students;  

• students enrolled in a Specialized Master’s Degree program;  

• executive team members;  

• faculty and research staff; 

• campus personnel.  

AgroParisTech’s approved Gender Equality Plan includes the following themes: 

• ensuring equal employment access for men and women; 

• promoting a healthy balance between personal/family life and professional activities; 

• combating sexist and sexual violence (SSV), discrimination, and harassment. 

Gender Equality Plan  

The final theme—and more specifically, combating sexist and sexual violence (SSV)—gave rise to a specific action plan in late 2019. It was created at the initiative of CASSIS, a student-run group that aims to raise awareness and provide information on sexuality. This action plan led to the creation of several bodies: 

• an SSV working group composed of administrative personnel and students; 

• a program that provides information and raises awareness; 

• a counseling center for the entire AgroParisTech community. 

Component One – Raising Awareness about Sexual and Sexist Violence (SSV) 

• an SSV awareness plan for students with prevention and awareness-raising campaigns conducted in both recreational and professional environments, along with a theater forum; 

• an SSW awareness plan for staff, with preventive measures and measures to combat unwanted behaviors and violence.
