Eight entrepreneurial projects supported by the AgroParisTech Foundation
September 10 2026Eight entrepreneurial projects led by AgroParisTech students, graduates and PhD students have been selected as winners by the Maturation Jury of the Entrepreneurship Programme, enabling them to receive financial support from the AgroParisTech Foundation. Sustainable food, agriculture, biotechnology, health and artificial intelligence: these young entrepreneurs embody the spirit of innovation that drives the AgroParisTech community and demonstrate how an engineering education can lead to an entrepreneurial venture that contributes to societal transitions.
Support that goes beyond funding
At AgroParisTech, entrepreneurship is not limited to one-off financial support. Winners benefit from a comprehensive programme: access to InnLabs and the school’s laboratories, strategic support, networking with scientific and industrial partners, assistance in securing additional funding, and increased visibility. This programme is made possible thanks to the combined expertise of the AgroParisTech Foundation, AgroParisTech and AgroParisTech Innovation.

Composmart: raising awareness of organic waste sorting
Led by Gabin Alvarez Silva and Scott Fayolle, students at AgroParisTech, alongside Eliott Seuret (Télécom Paris), Composmart aims to change the general public’s habits when it comes to bio-waste. The project relies on an educational and engaging platform, combined with a map of organic waste collection points, to encourage simple actions that promote more sustainable agriculture. Ultimately, the team aims to become the go-to media source on the subject of organic waste.

Solentii: reinventing healthy breakfast
Christian Ottini, a PhD student at AgroParisTech, and Loke Stendahl (ESSEC Global BBA) have put a new spin on a breakfast classic with a grain-free granola made from chickpeas and lentils. Naturally rich in protein and fibre, this product meets a growing demand for food that is healthy, delicious and minimally processed.

SapienCare: a breakthrough in dermocosmetics resulting from research at AgroParisTech
Camille Chantepie and Paul Michel, graduates of AgroParisTech, are turning the results of research carried out at the college into a product suitable for industrial production. Their fermentation technology enables the production of sapienic acid, a lipid found naturally in human sebum but which, until now, has been difficult to manufacture on a large scale. This active ingredient is aimed at the dermocosmetics market and opens up new avenues for skincare.

Umavie: giving organic vegetables a new lease of life
Every year, a significant quantity of organic vegetables is discarded for purely aesthetic reasons. Félix Galloy and Sung-ho Lee, students at AgroParisTech, have chosen to create a new market for them by transforming them into artisanal kimchi through lacto-fermentation. This circular economy approach benefits both market gardeners, who receive better pay, and consumers, who enjoy locally sourced food rich in probiotics.

Sylvy: AI for research laboratories
Clément Djezvedjian, an engineering student at AgroParisTech, and Aymeric Desbazeille are developing an artificial intelligence assistant designed for experimental research laboratories. The tool automates the documentation of experiments, organises the scientific data produced and serves as a comprehensive record of the work carried out — whilst ensuring data confidentiality and sovereignty, a key issue in research.

OptiYUM: personalising dietary supplement recommendations
Laurianne Dimina, who holds a PhD in nutritional sciences from AgroParisTech, is joining forces with Kévin and Jean-Berké Akdogan to launch the first recommendation engine dedicated to food supplements. Thanks to an extensive database and personalised technology, the solution guides each user towards the products best suited to their profile. The stated aim is to become the European benchmark in this field.

Azur Ferti: towards a more nitrogen-self-sufficient agricultural sector
A graduate of AgroParisTech, Marc-Florent Touati has joined forces with Simon Delles and Joseph de Solages to rethink on-farm fertiliser production. Their project involves developing small-scale units capable of producing a carbon-free nitrogen fertiliser directly on the farm, using water, air and agricultural biomethane. This innovation aims to reduce reliance on imports and strengthen French agricultural sovereignty.

RoseWorks: using simulation to drive innovation in the agri-food sector
Stemming from a PhD thesis carried out at AgroParisTech, the project led by William Jenkinson, a PhD holder at the SayFood joint research unit, offers numerical simulations designed for the food industry. The aim is to help them better understand and optimise their manufacturing processes, whilst reducing the need for costly physical testing. RoseWorks is currently working on its first prototypes and its first industrial partnerships.
