A partnership between the University of Orleans and AgroParisTech
December 15 2025On Monday, December 8, at the Centre-Val de Loire Regional Council, the University of Orleans, AgroParisTech, and AgroParisTech Innovation signed a framework partnership agreement aimed at structuring, strengthening, and promoting their cooperation in the fields of training, research, and innovation in sustainable cosmetics. This agreement was formalized during the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Cosmétosciences program, a highlight for the regional ecosystem.
A partnership to consolidate and amplify an already established dynamic
Relations between the University of Orleans and AgroParisTech have intensified in recent years, notably with the establishment in Orleans-La Source of an AgroParisTech branch dedicated to cosmetics, the creation of a partnership chair operated by AgroParisTech Innovation, and the development of the “Cosm’éthique” course. At the same time, the University of Orleans draws on recognized expertise, centered around its research laboratories, specialized training programs, and WeLabCosmetic, a technology platform certified by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Space.
Clearly defined common objectives
The framework agreement signed today establishes a structural framework for intensifying collaboration between the three signatories.
Strengthening scientific cooperation and collaborative research
- Development of joint research projects;
- Sharing of information, data, and scientific strategies;
- Creation of joint research teams;
- Co-supervision of theses and cross-hosting of researchers, teacher-researchers, and engineers.
Consolidating and enriching training programs
- Cross-curricular interventions in each institution’s programs
- Development of shared teaching modules;
- Support for the emergence of new training programs in sustainable cosmetics;
- Development of joint initiatives between Student Unions.
Develop innovation and shared infrastructure
- Creation of third-party innovation hubs combining AgroParisTech’s InnLab and the University of Orleans’ WeLabCosmetic;
- Shared access to scientific equipment;
- Implementation of innovation projects in collaboration with economic players in the sector.
These objectives reflect a common desire: to accelerate the emergence of new projects and train talent capable of meeting the challenges of sustainable cosmetics.
