Crop management changes

In Grignon, 29% of the greenhouse gas emissions and of the fossile fuel consumptions come from crops. Since 2006, year of the farm environmental assessment, we have been implementing many new practices to lower these impacts.

You will find in this section:

> Adapting the cropping system

We wish to change the cropping system by developing simplified cultural practices on a larger surface and by reducing the system’s inputs.

> Developing pasture and fodder crops

As far as this point is concerned, we had already made significant advances in 2007 with an important increase of cattle pasture and alfalfa development.
