All doctoral applicants enrolled at the ABIES Doctoral School must promise to participate in 160 hours of training during their thesis study.

This training can be in the following fields:

• scientific and technical specialization,
• scientific and cultural awareness,
• languages and communication techniques,
• knowledge of the professional milieu.
