Studying in France : a judicious choice for an international career

Studying at ParisTech, a consortium of the most prestigious French engineering schools from which have graduated a large number of engineers who have contributed to many of the achievements of which France is rightfully proud, will give you access to the highest level of teaching in France in engineering. Moreover you will be in a context allowing you to become an integral part of French civilization and master the French language. In a global environment, France is a different place to carry out scientific and technical studies. You will combine access to technological excellence and an in-depth experience of France’s vision of things, as well as French practices and culture. Is there a better means of increasing your chances of success when faced with the professional challenges of tomorrow ? For such is the profile which international companies most actively seek. A technical multidisciplinary and multipartner training

The master’s in the management and treatment of water, soil, and waste “GTESD Master’s Gestion et traitement des eaux, des sols et des déchets” aims to give foreign students a solid and broad scientific background which will allow them to understand the dynamics of geosystems (water, soil) and to evaluate the impact generated by human activities, and to implement tools, techniques and systems to correct it. At the end of the training, the students will have mastered the tools and methods to control the impact of human activities on the environment in the following fields :

  • management of water resources
  • treatment and distribution of water
  • treatment of waste water and sewage muds
  • sorting, collecting and treating waste
  • making use of secondary products
  • management of polluted sites

For this, there will be fundamental courses in the following disciplines :

  • life science (biology, ecology, toxicology)
  • analytical chemistry
  • process engineering
  • socio-economics (public policy, analysis and management of risks)
  • modeling
  • science of the universe (geology, pedology, hydrology)

as well as coursework on the themes of management and treatment of water, waste, and soil. The capacity of students to integrate their learning into engineering projects will be developed during :

  • case studies proposed by professional partners
  • an in-company internship (6 months)

A pedagogical team from well-known laboratories

The training is based on competence developed in the field of the environment in a complementary way by the research teams of 6 prestigious schools of the ParisTech group : The schools and research units ParisTech :
