Financing the training
According to your situation and your country of origin various possibilities exist to obtain scholarships and grants. The website of the CNOUS (Centre National des Oeuvres Universitaires et Scolaires) for foreign and French students is a good source of information. Under the heading for scholarships there are scholarships based on university criteria designed for French students of the master’s level (see http://www.cnous.fr/_vie_15.htm).
For foreign students, we advise you in addition to go to the website of the French embassy in your country and to consult the heading "studying in France"étudier en France". Each year the French government grants a large number of scholarships. The beneficiaries are designated by the cultural services of French embassies. The choice is made according to specific projects which are part of programs of cooperation, established according to governmental priorities and made by decision of joint commissions.
UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) has made a country by country catalog of the possibilities of scholarships offered by institutions of higher education, by the government and public or private institutions in a publication called "Study abroad/Estudios en el extranjero/Etudes à l’étranger", 2004-2005 edition. It can be ordered in bookshops or directly on the website of UNESCO.

Furthermore the new program which will continue the cooperation between the European Union and Latin America for scholarships in Higher Education which is currently being prepared within the framework of theErasmus Mundus, will be announced shortly.

There are also private funds which grant scholarships in certain countries (United States, Canada, Latin America). We draw your attention to the fact that application for scholarships must be made long before the beginning of studies (approximately 10 to 12 months before the desired school year).
